Precept PowerDrive golf balls $5/dozen at Home Depot
" I don't think I need to buy any more balls!"
I laughed out loud when I read this! Over the past many years I have purchased and/or found balls out on the course and now have about 15 dozen or more on the shelf. I haven't purchased any for at least 6 or 7 years! I
played ten rounds of golf in late November and the first week of December and found at least seventy balls. I clean them up, the ones in poor condition go into a plastic jug to give away or use at the range, the ones I would play in the fall are sorted by brand and put into containers. The premium balls are given to my friends who play a certain brand or model. I need to find a local youth golf organization that would take "used" golf balls.
I am also trying to find a place to give away a bunch of used golf balls that I found on the course. I used to bring them home and dump them in a plastic storage bin. I stopped doing that since I have no place for them. Need to give them away now.
jrsharp21 - check with the courses where you play. I've found they love the donations if they have a Jr. program and give them to the kids to use on the range or fill their ball pockets. It helps to get the kids playing without having to spend extra money to keep equipped with balls.
After posting my reply earlier, I checked and saw I have 3 full dozen Kirkland balls as well as a dozen Callaway Chrome Soft that I got from my wife for Christmas last year. Oops.
I have more ProV's to use still and have some of the DT Solo and Mojo's in the bag for cold weather like I will see tomorrow on the course... I guess I need to start loosing more balls?
I do take the lower end balls or the high-end balls that are not what I would deem AAAAA grade and donate those to the local youth players by dumping them in the barrel at the local muni. They are always appreciative of that. Maybe I need to be more picky in the ones I choose to play so I donate more? It's not like I go looking for balls, they find me.
I can vouch for the gamers...not sure about the powerdrives.
I have purchased much stuff at HD on clearance that you wouldn't expect to see there. Maybe the oddest being purina dog chow.
Top Flite Gamer = most underrated ball ever.

Yeah, with my improved play I don't lose balls like I used to. That and My Daughter and her Hubby send me the pick of the pack of the balls they find in their yard. Got more than enough for a couple of years of play. But still its hard to resist a good ball deal like top flites at $25 for 3 15-packs.
Used to lose a lot...not anymore. I have dozens in the garage...don't need any more.

I tend to agree with that. It's surprising how good they are around the greens. Maybe just a hair more roll out then a urethane covered ball, but pretty darn close. I just picked up 2 boxes on Pecker's.com for the wife to give to me for xmas. I'm glad that the Pecker's big box store hasn't killed them off.
BTW, they did have the Precept balls at my Home Depot in Central California.
Anyone play them yet?
No golf balls at all at our local home depot. Oh, well.
I grabbed 2 dozen, canโt be that bad for early and late year golf at the very least. Hell most of the courses I play it doesnโt matter what you hit, itโs stopping based on high, soft shots, not spin. So who really cares?
Our Home Depot has them. Now they have 2 dozen fewer.
