Finally got to play 9 holes after being sick with Pneumonia for over 2 months and it kicked my ass.
Lost 4 balls, 4 penalty strokes and shot 50 😭 Used my Wilson D200 irons since they''re reg flex and my normal Integra''s are firm flex. Just felt being weak it'd be better.
Rested a day and went back out with my Integra Power Bars and have played with them every other day for 9 holes, same course, some rounds front side, some back side.
Each day I got better with regard to energy but had to watch the sun and heat as it would zap me.
Shot 47/44/43/41 over the past week and it was awesome. Only missed 1 fairway out of 7 with my driver each of the 4 times out..
Went out yesterday and found out why GOLF is a 4 LETTER WORD😡!!!
I couldn't hit but one out of 7 fairways with my driver, wedges killed me missing the green 5 out of 7 times, and had 3 putts lip out 🤓!!!
Reality check BUT a bad day on the course is better than a sick day in the house ( or if I was still working.....a good day at work!!) 👍.
Went back out today in the rain.....had to stop 3 times for the spot showers BUT even with 2 double bogeys and again poor wedge play, my driver and putting was on and shot 47. I'm not a good wet ground player and had plenty of wet dirty spots all over me😅
With an 16 handicap before I got sick I'll take it. Just happy to be able to hit a golf ball again and not spend 16-18 hours in the bed. 🙂🔨
