DonM
Don, I know I'm late to the party, but by accident I discovered Orlimar Trimetal PLUS fairway woods several years ago. IMO, the shape and look at address are perfect, the miraging steel faces give the greatest sound at impact, and the Plus models have a standard depth face as compared to the original shallow faced Trimetals. I have been slowly assembling a set of them over the years, and currently I'm playing a 20, a 22, and a 26, each of which I have re-shafted to suit my swing. I would prefer a 23, but it seems that the only 23* they made was in the smaller shallow-faced Trimetal II. There are other members here who swear by them too, but you do have to find them on Ebay, which contradicts your idea of needing to see them in person (I don't disagree with that idea, BTW.....that's the ONLY way I will buy a putter anymore!). Good luck with your Adams, and in your quest for the perfect fairway wood.....let us know how it turns out!
