Hey my fellow Buzzards
I understand the concept of SL clubs. I know our good friends at Value Golf have SL Fws, and Steve Almos favorite drummer Tom Wishon ( for those who know Steve will get the joke) has SL irons.
Here’s my problem. Some of you on here know I’ve had some heath problems over the last year that has reduced my playing. It really goes back further than that all the way to 2010 when my best friend that I played golf with more than anyone died of a heart attack, For the last 9 years of my life Golf has been back and forth with me, which is rough when you are an admitted ho with connections 😂
The last year has been the biggest golf layoff. I have turned down new sets afraid that Ill do worse than my existing Alpha irons. They are 2009s oldest clubs I’ve owned in a long time. I’m determined to make a change finally once I get enough rounds under my belt this year.
What I want to know is, my friends on this forum that made the switch to SL. What improvements did you see? Was it right away or did it take time?
Did you make everything but your driver SL? If you couldn’t find the wedges you wanted SL did you make your existing wedges longer?
I can see going after SL irons. Giving up my Ol Blue Cobra FW wood or my TM Hybrids just not sure. Using a wedge other than my old Prospecs or TILLe? I can’t commit to that. TILLe won me over very easily and I love my Alpha Prospecs.
Let me hear your experiences good or bad with SL. It will help me decide for the future.
