This past Easter Sun.we had dinner at my BIL's place and he's been wearing hearing aids for years.
He asked me if I had tried Costco's hearing dept.,that's where he buys his.
After checking their price's,the Oticon's at $8400. looked pretty f'n pricey.
So I took them back to the Audiologist here in town since I hadn't paid for them yet...No harm No foul!
Made a hearing test appointment at Costco and where the first guy said I had 50% hearing loss in my right
ear,the girl doing the testing at Costco said I had only minimal hearing loss in that ear and just needed help
in the left one! WTF
But I did wind up buying a "pair" of Phonak Brio 3 hearing aids though from Costco, for only about $2500. BIG DIFF!!
The reason being is the Phonak's are the only one's that work with Android through bluetooth.
Left ear is the mic, right ear is the speaker....which is a pretty cool way to have a hands free phone.
The ONLY difference I could tell between the Oticon's and the Phonak's was the price! $$$$
Plus the testing and fine tuning was much more efficient from Costco as they use the REM method for
making prescription adjustments, the other guy didn't.
Bottom line ch. Costco first if you're in the market for some hearing help!😉
