Spuzz He is famous for football, not golf, is the difference
Heard that argument and not sure it flies. Shouldn't have anything to do with fame. The argument against that I've heard is that Romo has played in a Pro Tournament and as an amateur in the Pebble Beach Pro Am. I'm not sure he kept his amateur status when he played in the Pro tournament though. I assume he did.
Plus the same argument could be made with any amateur assuming they're not very wealthy and don't need to hold a job to support them. What difference does it make it your job is football player / announcer or insurance salesmen?
