darpar Just had some popped in a kettle with a little olive oil and we throw in some sunflower seeds to pop with the kernels. The seeds get burnt but that's the best part. Top it off with a little spray butter, lemon pepper and some Sriracha seasoning. Good brain food!👍
Sneakylong https://www.skinnypop.com/our-popcorn/ For bagged popcorn this isn't too bad. Not sure of the sodium content though.
cpanther1995 Sneakylong That’s the brand I started eating on this diet. The standard version has low sodium and is pretty good. I was buying pre popped bags, then pop in the microwave bowls. I found I liked Orville Reddenbacher popped in brown paper bags better.
PA-PLAYA Sneakylong Word to the wise > the Skinny Pop microwavable box variety is horrible. A lot of the kernels don't pop and it just ends up making a huge mess. Good idea, but horrible design. The popcorn itself tastes just like any other popcorn, but I think I'll go back to the tried and true Pop Secret the next time I buy.
KCee Popcorn is a staple in our house. My wife will even make it at home and smuggle it into the movie theatre.
SVonhof We have something like this: Works great. If we are going to watch a movie in our home theater, we normally make a double batch and munch away. We use very little salt and only a little bit of "can't believe it's not butter" or similar.
sdandrea1 I almost like popcorn more than bacon. I cook Orville brand kernels in a deep pan in Canola oil and salt. I add butter flavored powder on after it pops. Friday nights!
LBlack14 sdandrea1 I like popcorn more than bacon. It is at this time that I hereby deny being related to you, let alone, even knowing you. 😎
DC300 sdandrea1 WOW, bold statement right there. Are you just telling yourself this because you can get a case of popcorn for $12 shipped?
FauxAmish sdandrea1 Try cooking your popcorn in Bacon grease. About 40 miles South of me in Van Buren, Indiana is Weaver popcorn. The largest popcorn supplier in the U.S. They have the largest share of the theater market, also.

Tinker No matter what you try it’s never as good as the movies, especially if you can squirt on the butter yourself
KCee When I fly (which is about once a month) I always try to hit up a Garretts Popcorn in the airport. That stuff is like crack....I mean I've never tried crack, but I can't stop eating the popcorn so clearly it's addictive.
mulegolf Sounds like most of you don't eat real popcorn with all that micro wave popcorn or made with olive oil or worse in an air popper? At our house it's popcorn (either white or yellow... or mixed) that is popped in a mixture of Crisco and butter in a Stir Crazy popper. When popped, add popcorn salt (not a lot) and it's great. And FauxAmish talking about popping popcorn in bacon grease brought back memories. As a youngster at home we ate popcorn popped in a mixture of bacon and sausage grease. That's the way my dad liked it so that's the way we ate it. We can't find any Weaver popcorn around here but there is a small company nearby called Morgan Popcorn that has good popcorn and Jolly Time and Snappy popcorn come from just south of us in Iowa and both are good.
