There has been talk among very bright people that this world will not be habitable in the not so distant future and that's why space exploration, and, Mars specifically, is very important to us.
Will this happen in our lifetimes. Probably not.
Warming is natural. Science hasn't figured out how much, if any, we're speeding that process up. It might be NONE and this is all just natural. Erring on safe side is a good thing. Better for environment overall and who is really against that?
Sure, there are debates that involve billions and trillions of dollars because some companies want to pollute for profit and humanity does benefit but it also loses. Tough issues.
I feel sorry for my children and their children for the world that will likely be left for them in many regards.
