candukid - I agree wholeheartedly. Obama wasn't thought of nearly as highly as the press made him out to be or gave him shade in the US as it was around the world (eye-opener). And today it's difficult to find much support for Trump anywhere outside of our country.
I'm forced to use the foreign press in a discussion group I take turns moderating on Sundays. Right, left, moderates. The left gives no credibility to Fox or Breitbart etc. and the right scoffs as soon as they see the source is CNN, MSNBC, or Huffington et al.
We've been together for over 15 years and have learned by listening to each other and respecting differences of opinion. One member of the group recently gave up her seat as a very left member of our House (health issues). And we have a right-leaning moderate that is a current state Senator. It is a great group and civil discourse is NOT dead.
