Another win and a cool $1.6m for DeChambeau. Head case, robot, who can’t putt.. I wish I sucked as bad as him. People drool over Bubba and this guy will pass his win total in about 2 years

Can't find any info on what clubs he used at 16, when he was also winning tournaments.

Raise your hand if you think the clubs make the golfer. Anyone???

I'm sure he'd do just fine with a 'normal' club setup. Just as other Pro golfers would do just fine with single length. (But they don't even need to try it. 🤔....well, maybe some should.)

Spuzz Still painful to watch him play, even more than Bubba.

Definitely different and I still don't like his hat but he sure was throwing darts today and making the putts. I think they said he was high ninety percent on putts under 10 feet. Something they also said I found interesting was that he is right handed and signs his autographs left handed and writes it right to left. 🤓

Wow. That is SO strange if true!

It's good to see the young man bounce back from a very tough couple of weeks in Europe a month or so back. I doubted his ability to overcome his frustrations, but he's obviously got a level of resilience that I never gave him credit for.

I no longer have second thoughts about him being picked for the RC team, 'Mad Scientist' aspect be damned. Not sure what else he could possibly do to earn Furyk's trust given the overall season he's had.

Finau also continues to show he's worthy of a pick imo.

PA-PLAYA I would agree, the guy is definitely a good player and hot right now. Overall he has been consistent, obviously had some struggles, but show me somebody who hasn’t. My one concern would be him hitting one of those days/weeks when he couldn’t make a putt to save his life, but then again, when you have this many wins this fast, you aren’t that bad of a putter.

Since late 2016 when he joined the PGA, he’s recorded 11 top 10s, 3 wins, made $8.6m. That’s more than a career for many guys. Not to mention his amateur accomplishments. It’s not quite Tiger Woods, but it’s as good or better than virtually anybody outside of Spieth to start off their career.

The guy gets ragged on a lot because he’s definitely different and dry, but it’s working.

Looks like it works if you use Bryson's swing. I'm not willing to try it, but I applaud him for finding a way to make his way work.

Agree. I think he's been judged an asshat and "bound to fail" mainly because he's "different." Yes, the handshake incident was disrespectful but if DJ or JT had done it the criticism would have been limited to needing to control emotions, lack of maturity, etc. With Bryson, it was evidence of a fundamentally flawed personality that would ultimately be his undoing.

I'm guessing there are 8 guys already on the RC team who are pumped to see what he just did. There isn't anyone worried about being paired with him and his game.

I don't watch much golf, but for some reason I just don't find him someone I would root for. I think about it, but nothing comes to mind that should cause that to happen it just does.

Unfortunately for Bryson, the Captain's picks process is partly a popularity contest. Example: Bubba convinced Tom Watson to pick Webb Simpson back in 2014 because Webb was Bubba's "safety bwanket, sniffle sniffle." Webb Simpson's first shot of the very first match of the event was an impressive popup to centerfield, went all of 200 yards. They ended up getting their asses handed to them 5&4 and Simpson didn't sniff a match again until the Sunday singles. Huge f-up on Watson's part.

Hopefully Furyk is a bit more pragmatic in his selections.

PA-PLAYA hopefully recent play and horses for courses factor in.....it certainly did for Zinger when he picked JB Holmes, which wasn't completely out in left field, but he took some criticism for it, as Holmes wasn't on a lot of critics radar.

If that is the case, then it's not unfortunate that TW is very close to Bryson.

Given that, he should be 1st pick by Furyk; even before announcing TW as a pick.

Actually I was not talking about him making the Ryder Cup. I just meant for some reason I just don't like him at all. If he makes the RC roster I will root for all the American players on the team.

I'd be curious to see what kind of score he'd shoot with a standard set of clubs.
At his skill level of play,I bet he could still post a pretty low round.
              But maybe not.....

He's only in his 3rd full year on tour, and currently ranked #12 in the world. The guys ahead of him are DJ, Koepka, Thomas, Rose, Rahm, Molinari, McIlroy, Fowler, Spieth, Day, and Fleetwood. Then DeChambeau. That's some damn elite company right there!!

Bryson's won twice this season... at Jack's Memorial tournament, and then again this past weekend obviously at the Northern Trust. Ranked 12th in the world, leading the FedEx Cup points race, 8 top-10's for the season.

I just don't see how Furyk can keep this kid off the team given his overall performance, especially given how he righted the ship after the adversity he faced over in Europe a few months back.

I see Woods, Mickelson, Bryson and Finau rounding out the captain's picks. Unless someone runs the tables the next couple of weeks - how could Furyk not consider him?
