I recently snagged a 12 degree High Heat (not the newer 257 model) off the Bay on a second chance offering. My bid was about 30% below the eventual winning bid, as there were two bidders above me, so I was surprised to get the offer. So if you see one with loft and shaft you might like, bid something early. They seem to have a decent amount of them as clubs keep getting relisted.
Mine came with a Fujikura Vista Pro in A flex, which was too soft for me. I found a House of Forged Black Diamond I believe was a stiff (Matrix label at the butt end is destroyed) that came out of something else which is long since gone. Head was right about 202 grams. Got it to the range today -- pretty impressed. Toe hits were carrying 215-220, which is pretty good for me at the range. Center strikes were a good 10-15 yards longer. You can't tell run out there, as it's artificial turf and uphill, and the landing area past about 220 has some blind spots. It's aluminum bat-like when you miss the sweetspot, but a little more palatable when centered.
I had picked up an Adams 9064LS with the stock RIP Gamma last week as well, and that one seemed to want to go straighter. Misses didn't seem to be as long, but I didn't hit any big hooks or slices with the Adams, while a few of those snuck in with the Knuth -- though that might be the shaft. I'll give them both a try this week on the course -- we'll see how they do. If I'm alone out there, I'll try both on every hole.
