Back in the winter I had the downstairs redone.... the powder room included. Decided to go with a 1-piece "Jacuzzi" brand toilet from Lowes, equipped with 2 flush levels to help conserve water. The flush buttons on top of the water tank are equipped for two options (smaller button for limited water usage (#1), bigger button for maximum water usage (#2 and toilet paper). Initially I found the slightly taller seat a tad uncomfortable compared to the older one I had (American Standard) but now actually prefer it over the lower-sitting ones.
Unfortunately I don't think they sell this particular model in anything other than white, which seams to be a stickler for you. You might do some research to see if you can get one in beige via special order.
I paid roughly $175 for it.... liked it so much that I went ahead and had the toilet upstairs replaced with the same model.
Since we had tile installed in the bathroom downstairs - the contractor felt it best to add an additional wax seal so it would seal properly and prevent any leakage.
It's worked out great. Have yet to need use the plunger to unclog it.... which was a once-a-week occurrence with the prior toilet.
And it has a nice sleek European look to it versus the standard 2-piece that tends to look bulky and cumbersome.
