I remember a round played many years ago during the summer down in Myrtle. I was heading out to play TPC Myrtle Beach. I get there around 6:45 for a 7:30 am tee time. Went to the range and hit balls for about 20 minutes. Used an old glove because I knew putting on a new glove would basically leave it completely soaked.
By the 4th hole I was already drenched with sweat. Humidity off the charts, not even the slightest breeze of air to help make it more tolerable. By the 9th hole my shirt was completely drenched. By the 15th hole I could've jumped into the ocean and wouldn't have been any more wet. I remember grabbing a towel out of the back of the car before heading home and throwing it onto my car seat just so my sweat wouldn't soak into the seat fabric.
I went through 5 gloves that day. And I said never again would I play when it was that humid outside.
Thankfully we only deal with that insufferable heat 3 weeks (on average) per season living in the Northeast. I can deal with 90ยบ weather. It's the humidity that does me in.
