Started doing this about 5 years ago. I sweat like a beast.... got tired of having to hang 2-3 gloves on the cart frame to air out during the hot summer rounds, and then having them feel like they were dried out and stiff after the fact.
Rain gloves work great. I use only one, the right-hand glove (since I'm a lefty). Never did get comfortable using two gloves. As a result - I have about a dozen L/H unused rain gloves somewhere in my basement/garage.
They work great... don't have to worry about exchanging gloves, don't have to worry about strapping my usual synthetic leather gloves to the cart frame to dry out during the round and figure out a rotation.
If you're a sweater (like me) it might be worth giving it a try.
The only thing is that every couple of rounds you need to rinse/wash the rain glove with some dishwashing detergent to alleviate the smell because of the sweat and let it air-dry.
It's saved me $$$ over the years doing this, as the rain gloves typically have a longer life than a synthetic leather glove. If you're not a heavy sweater - it won't pertain to you. But for some of us who do sweat profusely during the hot summer heat - it's a money saver. And you don't have to be inconvenienced with exchanging gloves during the round.
Rain gloves are awesome and are dual purpose.
