Tinker Yes, that is exactly the problem. I suspected you were doing that. I chipped that way for years, and there is no margin for error on shorter chips. I have switched to a using the bounce method, and it's a revelation. I can use all the wedges and irons now, and the chips fly with the full loft of the club, or close. So I can take more of a swing, it doesn't have to be so touchy. Here is the video that got me going. It didn't work the first try, but what does?
