fatshot Just warm enough yesterday to get in 9 holes with them for the first time, so somewhat limited experience, but I really, really like them. They definitely hit the ball higher, which is a big plus for me. As I've aged, my ability to hit it high and land soft has diminished. These seem to be just the prescription I needed. THey may be a tad longer than my old G20's, but too soon to know that, especially as chilly and windy as it was yesterday.
Not wild about the sound at impact, but once again, weather and limited number of shots make this still a question mark. Very solid feeling, though. This is my first try at graphite in my irons and so far I really like it. Smooth feel and less shock on my elbows and hands/wrists. Some suggest that it takes some getting used to, but I am comfortable right out of the box.
I played 2 balls on every hole and hit a lot of good shots. So far, I'm super impressed. If it turns out that graphite noticeably improves my iron game, I'll be a little peeved I didn't try it years ago. VERY impressed with these irons!
BTW, since I have my G30 up on eBay and have active bidders, I decided to leave that at home and took out the old trusty Wishon 919. I've got it on a Accuflex Rev Lite and I'll tell you what, that driver just flat out performs. Not quite as long as the G30, but no more than 10 yards shorter, I would guess. Best of all, it hits fairways. Wondering if I really want to drop some big coin on the G400 now...OK...of course I do, but It's hard to truly justify!
