Last year I played less and ho'd less. I am retired so time to play is not an issue. Back issues in the spring kept me home a lot. Our group of geezer players is getting smaller each year also. We used to get 16 players most any time we played and are lucky to get a foursome now. So, a bit less interest if we don't have four which happens more often.
Regarding hoing, there just isn't enough new component stuff to tinker with so that is greatly reduced. If I find an area in my game that I think is sagging and might improve with something new I will pursue that. About the only thing I ho'd last year was a Ping G and TM M2 driver. The TM filled the bill and the Ping was re-homed. This winter I want to lighten up a few sets of irons and did ho some lighter graphite pullouts on the bay and did get some new wedge heads to go with them.
So, hoing is pretty much done for the year unless there are some new component surprises. Hopefully, starting in April I can start playing about twice a week which suits me just fine. It is 14° out and I just shoveled snow and ice off so play won't be here any time soon.
