Your game is what I hoped some improvement would bring this year.
I started trying to play when I retired at 65. It's hard to believe /swallow that now I'm 72 1/2 and still struggling to get consistently into high 80s even after moving to the Sr tees. I've never been the atheletic type , but still feel like if I keep at it I can get to that level even with the usual age deteriation I'm seeing . Five or 6 strokes is still my improvement goal for 2018.
To get there, I have to
1. be a little more consistent with driving fairways. I'm getting about 200 yds with roll out which is sufficient for Sr tees, but not straight enough for such short drives.
2. Better strikes and aim with my hybrids for 150-180 range. I never get on a green from there, Just, almost. I keep trying to get a 3 wood working on parr 5s but perhaps I should give it up . 1 in five attempts are somewhat satisfactory .
3. I've improved my strikes with LW to 8 iron so I'll try to improve, maintain that. I still am not hitting enough greens even on shorter approachs. Think I need to keep my Eye2 W in the bag for chipping. My lowest scores came that way this year . Maybe drop the 3 wood to add the wedge.
4. Putting needs help. I'm so twitchy lately, not sure how to improve that. Oh, I know ! Buy a new putter.
