Tee box

Choose the correct tee for your skill level, regardless of where the other members of your group are playing. Golf allows for players at different skill levels to enjoy the game with one another, and the different tees are one way to help even out the playing field.
Tee up your ball between the two markers for your given distance. Your ball must be even with or behind the markers. Should you swing and miss, it counts as one stroke. However, should you knock the ball off the tee during a practice swing, you are allowed to re-tee the ball.

A mulligan is not automatic. If you do want to take one, ask permission and be quick about it. Golf is best played with consideration of others, both those in your group and those following behind you. A mulligan is technically not part of the game and goes against the very essence of the game.
