Great course if you get a chance to play. The renovation by Jack Nicklaus really makes for a dramatic round...some really great holes here.

Absolutely beautiful in every way. Some of the best and most unique par 5's in all of golf. The greens were in poor condition when I played (recently were plugged) so I gave it a 4 - I'm sure they are typically fast and smooth. Probably one of my favorite courses, oh, and a nice clubhouse too.

It's a shame that this is a city course in a bad section of town because this Robert Trent Jones design could be a real gem in the heart of Columbus. Unfortunately, equipment technology has made the course play very short. Still a great track that makes you understand what good, natural golf course design used to be like...

Great little course outside of Minster, Ohio. However, the holes are a tad short and the greens play fairly slow. The pace can also drag a bit, but the service makes up for that. If your in the area, stop by and play - you'll have fun. Oh, and the food is pretty good too.

Tough course especially from the back tees. Good fairways and the greens would receive a higher rating but one of the par 3's in the woods had a really poor conditioned green. No driving range (only warm-up nets), and the houses around the course are very cheap. Make sure you bring some sun-screen, too - it's really wide open. However, for 40 bucks in the afternoon, it's still a good deal.

Somewhat landlocked, but a great short course. Very challenging even for the scratch golfer. Service is great and the course is a very beautiful. Fast greens, tough rough around the greens, rolling hills and lots of trees. Would strongly recommend if you get a chance to play.

Great location and scenery, but the course conditions and lack of length really take away from what could be a really great golf course. However, it's still a fun course to play, especially #17, which is about 140 yards and straight downhill. If you're in Cincinnati, this course isn't a bad choice for the beginner.

Country Acres is a hidden gem in Northwest Ohio. The course features some length and some very well protected greens. Also, watch out when the wind picks up! This course is sometimes referred to as "Windy Acres" because the wind just seems to always be present! The course could still use a little "growing up" but it is always in pretty good condition. I would highly recommend! Excellent staff, too!

I was looking for a good deal around the Columbus area this weekend and I stumbled across Clover Valley Golf Club. Clover Valley is located roughly 35 minutes from downtown Columbus in Johnstown, Ohio. When I arrived, we were greeted by an very friendly staff and a great deal at $30 for walking 18 on Sunday! The range was also fairly decent with plenty of teeing area and a number of targets spaced appropriately. They also sported a practice green for bunker shots and chipping. One thing I disliked about the practice facilities, and leads me to a lower rating for their facilities is the lack of a SANE putting green!! This thing is sooo hilly you can barely get your ball to sit on the green without it rolling away! This thing is fun, but overly ridiculous if you ask me. However, the greens are smooth and very quick…probably among the quickest greens I’ve putted on. The course was very challenging and offered big advantages to those who keep it in the fairway. They also have very small greens so you better make sure you’re greenside game is on par. However, I thought the course lacked some aesthetic value and none of the holes really jump out at you as “great” holes. I would definitely suggest this course for the value and for those who haven’t played it yet. It’s a great challenge for all levels of golfers.

Don't go out of your way to play this course, but if you have no other options, it's still golf. Railroad tracks and high tension wires pass through this course if that says anything about the quality.

Fun little course near Muncie, Indiana. Some of the distances between holes can be quite long.

Front nine has some good holes (#2, #3, #7, #8, #9) but the back 9 is plain. Nearly every green is round and the trees are planted in straight lines on most holes. Not a lot of imagination, but the greens are pretty decent and, hey, it's still golf!

Great Arthur Hills design. Very very challenging with lots of length. Highly suggest!

Great little Pete Dye course close to Columbus. However, slow play and soggy conditions are a real norm here. Also, the driving range never seems to be open and they treat the driving range balls like gold (they always have them locked up in the storage shed). However, the course is very challenging and really forces you to think off the tee. If you can find a member, go play it...you'll have a fun time.
