Great track, borrowing a few holes from the Chardonnay complex this Johnny Miller design does well what some of his other Bay Area courses does not. It is playable start to finish, and challenges you from the fairway the way a good course should. When the wind kicks up, it can get a bit nasty, but it is a stern test of golf. The facilities are nice, and the rates solid compared with other courses nearby. It gets my thumbs up!!!! Close tot he Bay Area, Vallejo, Sonoma, and any east bay local.

Having been in San Francisco for over 10 years, it is a pleasure to see how this course has been brought back from the dead. I would not have stepped foot ont his course 5 years ago. But after the work they have done, the Amex Tourney won by Tiger in 2005, it seems they are keeping it in top quality shape for the '08 President's Cup. Just perfect. Enjoyed a nice round out there yesterday in 4:15. Green are nice although not too fast, they roll true, fairways were perfect and the wether in SF has been doing it's part. Get out here to see it. Only $46 for Residents to walk. A perfect walk among stunning trees surrounded by Lake Merced.

The sea air makes you feel like your on the Souther Coast of Oregon or in the British Isles. Great RTJ Jr. layout with plenty of character and sweeping views of the harbour. Pace is never an issue, the greens and fairways are pure, but better bring your stamina and a variety of shots as the winds can kick up and provide a stern test for your game. Tip: On the Downhill Par 5, pick the right spot - and your in two shot territory. Tip #2: Swing easy and enjoy the beauty which is great whether overcast or clear. Bodega is a golf experience worthy of the small drive. I plan to visit again soon.

This is a pretty fair Muni in Oakland. They are sparce on the ammenities with the excpetion of a decent bar. The pace can drag from holes 1-5 but then it gets going nicely. It is a Johnny Miller design, and has rolling, links style holes which are wide open. The trouble comes around the greens, where massive undulations, slopes, and speed along with some wind can make any up and down very tough. If you want to score here, take what the course gives you, place your ball and HIT THE GREENS! I enjoy the course and you will too. If your not looking to spend $100, then head to Metro and enjoy a round for about $50. It is well worth it.

This place is incredible.....!!! Skipped out on family activities and made my way here today. Could not be more pleased, even though it rained off and on and hard, the place is pure golf. The service is stellar, you feel like your all alon on this course and the beauty coupled with a tough test is just what one needs to renew. I will be back. Writing this as I am about to order a Macallan 18. Make a trip.

Fine set of courses. Greens do not roll true, but are extremely fast and very tough. Just played a tourney their for Amgolf.com and enjoyed the facility very much.

Heard terrific things about the course and look forward to playing soon.
