Course Finder Updates

I have posted a question on the general topic board with now response. To include I have emailed the contacts for this site with no answer. This bothers me now that I have payed money to this site and they have my account information, but know one will responde back to me. If someone could answer this question what is going on with this site and if anyone else has had the same issues please answer back. I enjoy the site but I am stationed in Japan and would love to have our golf course added to the site for myself and the others that I play with.

I’ve been a member for several years and never paid a dime :) Sorry to hear nobody has gotten back to you about the course, but I know that the GBuzz search engine only covers the US. I recall hearing discussion about globalizing it, but it hasn’t happened yet.

A number of sites utilize GolfBuzz to provide content to their sites (like Golf Illustrated University). That’s how I found out about it… and paid as well. As far as renewing, I’m not certain that I will, as I get all I need for free from this site.

I do also use mobilegolfstats for additional tracking (that I was using before finding this site). Although they don’t have as many courses, they do allow you to add courses manually… and I happen to administer the Military Golfers group there.

Thanks for the response. I will give the other site a shot and see what I can do with adding our course.

I checked the site, and there are courses from other countries in the database. If it’s got a scorecard, it can be added… and if it can be seen on a Google map, it can have an area map. There are two courses from Okinawa/Kadena there.

I know, the activity here is slow. The features are really nice but I found another site called Stracka.com that offers the Game Tracker stuff for free and there is much more activity there. I like it so far, but they still need some work before it’s what it needs to be.
