Course Description from New Berlin Hills

This par-71 layout offers 18 holes of enjoyable golf that pose a challenge to golfers at every level of play. The course at New Berlin Hills, which originally opened in 1907 as Woodmont Country Club, has long been a favorite among golfers in Southeastern Wisconsin. New Berlin Hills offers two very different yet challenging nine-hole ligatures. The Front Nine is intertwined with the Root River that gently meanders through five holes. Meanwhile, the Back Nine’s rolling hills and serene wooded landscapes will make you forget that you’re still in an urban setting.

With three sets of tees to choose from, the course plays from 5,346 yards to 6,517 yards. Manicured to a level of excellence typically found only at exclusive country clubs, New Berlin Hills offers excitement and surprises around every dogleg and over every bunker.

I’ll have my own review up Sunday after I play it.

golfbuzz.com Improvements

This site is great, very helpful for tracking, self improvement and course discovery. However, I think there is definitely room for improvement. Here are some ideas:

1. Once a user puts in yardage, handicap, etc on a given course, let others reuse those numbers, it’s a pain to put them in every round.

2. Allow users to designate or suggest the pictures for a given course if the upload it so there are not so many course with the default picture.

3. Provide some sort of incentive for reviewing course and inputting data that makes the system more valuable and keeps it up to date.

4. Only allow each user to review each course once but, let them change their review if they want. Repeated reviews skew scores. If you have a differing experience, change your review or blog about it.

5. Allow blog entries to be associated with a given round.

6. Allow users to add friends as the people they played a specific round with so they can see stats like how many rounds they won or how many times they played with a given person.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks for a great system, I have brought in seven friends and counting!
